The Fifth Annual Royal Flush Outhouse Race will take place in Eproson Park in Twain Harte today.
Parade at 9:00 a.m.
Races begin at 10:00 a.m., with winner determined by 4:00 p.m.
More than 20 teams are expected to participate. There are three members per team, two pushers and one person who ‘sits inside the outhouse on the throne’.
More than 40 vendors will sell handmade crafts and other items during Saturday’s event.
Additional food, along with beer and margaritas will be available.
Outhouses will race throughout the day until a winner is crowned during a ceremony held about 4 p.m. The first place winner will again receive paid entry to the World Championship Outhouse Races, set for Oct. 6-7 in Virginia City, Nevada.
