I don’t know how you feel about storms being hyped up to be something really big and then not much happens but……that’s what I thought again the morning when I got out of bed and had a look outside. There was some slush on the deck and that was it. Oh–plus the remnants of the last storm from a little over a week ago.
With the weather reports from the last few days, my sweetie, Russ, and I got out yesterday and finally put our holiday street lights up, plus the gaudy, cheap, garish, and large ornaments that look much better than they really are. 🙂 They don’t look nearly as garish when driving by!
All that said, finally it seems as if it’s beginning to snow. Maybe. I’ll keep you posted as it happens. Please excuse my recent quiet period. I was in France, Brussels and northern Germany for most of November and then we had an emergency trip last week to New Jersey — when we missed the last snow storm. I’m back into the groove now and will keep you posted on local events, activities and weather.
Did you miss the Annual MAHA Christmas ‘Gathering’ at the Mi Wuk Community Center on December 12th? We made it home just in time to attend and it was fun. Unfortunately there were less than 20 people in attendance. Hmmmmm. Those of us who were there experienced a lovely time of community spirit and sharing. We also shared some yummy cookies and savory appetizers. Please put the 2nd Saturday, 2-4 p.m., of December 2016 on your calendars so you can join us! Here are a few representative photos:
The captions are only to be funny. Everyone was well behaved.
11:30 update: It’s no longer snowing but Mi Wuk is wrapped up in clouds. It’s a good day to be inside with hot chocolate and a crackling fire. Have a great weekend. I’ll post highway conditions in the next post.
Commentary: By the way, (and this is my snarky comment) did you hear on ABC10 this morning that chains were required in the Sonora area, highways 180 (not a typo) and 20 (also not a typo). Newsreaders!
Make today a great one.Leave a comment
