26th – 2 p.m. Mi Wuk Library Book Club. Open discussion of The Big Burn by Timothy Egan. This is a non-fiction account about the great fire of 1910: “Teddy Roosevelt and the Fire That Saved America.” It’s about the history of the founding of the forest service. The opening description of the fire will grab the reader and as the “perfect storm” of a fire rages, the reader races through the book. It’s an excellent “read” for our area. As over 100 firefighters died fighting the fire, it’s one well-known to firefighters. The book club meets on the 4th Thursday of every month, 2 p.m. Guests always welcome!
