Mi Wuk is a Busy Place Right Now...3 PG&E Crews in Village Removing Dead Trees

It’s a really busy, messy time in Mi Wuk Village right now.  And for me it’s extra busy.  I am one of the VIPs:  Volunteers in Prevention, working under Cal Fire’s direction but out of our Mi Wuk Sugar Pine Fire station.  The defensive space property inspections are finally underway.  We are out every day from roughly 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  From 9:00 to 10:00 and noon to 1:00 p.m. we’re doing paper work, sending the ‘yellow copy’ to homeowners after completing the day’s inspections.

When I’ve returned home from doing inspections the past two days, I’ve come upon a giant crane and a crew of workers felling PG&E marked trees almost in front of our home.  There are three very large cranes in Mi Wuk right now, at times totally blocking the roads.  Please give them a break rather than a hard time when you can’t reach your home as quickly as you’d like.  I saw an example of bad behavior this afternoon in front of my house.  “How long to we have to sit here and wait!?!?”  How embarrassing when these guys are working for our benefits.

Here are some photos from today’s Lama Hisum/Tiasmu Court work site:

Here’s my first attempt and uploading and sharing a video:

Enjoy.  It’s been a long day.
