MWSPFPD Auxiliary Update

Here’s the latest from our Auxiliary President Sherry Blake and
a message from the Fire Board President Jim McDonald:
-No Potluck on August 5, 2020.
-Fire Board Meeting, Tuesday, August 11, 7:00 p.m.  Mary Schneiderman to provide dessert.
-No Auxiliary Meeting on August 12, 2020.
-A Go Fund Me account on Facebook has been established to raise funds for our Fire District in lieu
the fundraisers we were unable to have this year.  You can donate at the website here:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/canceled-fundraisers-no-funds-raised-this-year

-In just the first week the Go Fund Me raised $500!  Hurray!!  A BIG THANK YOU to those of you who contributed!
– If you do not have Facebook you can donate directly to the Auxiliary.
The Auxiliary Board is suggesting as you are able to do so that you consider supporting
our District by making a donation to the Auxiliary in lieu of the monies you would have
spent attending one or more of our fundraisers. It would be greatly appreciated!
Checks can be made out to MWSPFPDA and mailed to P O Box 22, MI Wuk Village, CA 94536
or dropped off at the for station, “ATTN. AUXILIARY”.

-From our Fire Board President:

“The contributions made by the Auxillary are very important in making equipment and safety gear purchases that we cannot afford within our annual budget.    I am more than happy to contribute whatever I would be spending on all of the fundraisers as well as my membership dues.  Perhaps a sign in front of the fire station with a graphic depicting our goal and how much progress we are making toward that goal and also letting all who come up here know how they can help.”
Sincerely,
Jim McDonald
President, Mi Wuk/Sugar Pine Fire Protection District
-A “Thermometer” to track our fundraising progress will soon be posted out front at the fire station.
-The Board is also offering assistance to any of you that may need help of some kind. A call to one
of us would allow us to help you or assist you in getting the help you need.
Stay safe, well and sane.
