The Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the Sierra Nevada through 10 PM tonight.
According to the National Weather Service, snow levels are dropping from 4,000 feet to 2,500 feet.
Additional snow accumulations above the 4,000 foot elevation will range from three to six inches. Five to ten inches of additional snow is likely above 7,000 feet.
Winds of fifteen to twenty-five mph will continue with gusts up to forty-five mph.
Snow covered roads are likely as well as blowing and drifting snow and local whiteout conditions. Snow and gusty winds may cause falling tree branches or limbs.
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities. Use caution while driving.
