Tree Down at Olo Win Trail/Lama Hisum Road

The roads in Mi Wuk are terrible–plowed but slushy.  And shame on a few homeowners who have cleared their driveways (plow or snowblower or shovel) and left their snow right on the road–in the middle or just beyond the plowed surface.  That IS illegal plus being annoying and dangerous.  We have pretty much one lane to drive on and this extra snow makes it harder to avoid or give way to an oncoming car.  Please be mindful of other users of the roadways!

The cause of the 186 person power outage Friday night into Saturday morning was a tall tree that fell over Olo Win Trail from it’s roots.

I ‘think’ it’s resting on the roof of the second house in from the corner but I didn’t really look to be sure.

The poor guys in the PG&E trucks are waiting for the crew with the equipment to remove the tree.   Power saws.   They’ve been sitting there, protecting the site, for at least four hours already.

Be cautious!  And be courteous.

UPDATE:  4:00 p.m.  Crews have arrived to remove the tree which is laying across power lines at the corner of Olo Win Trail and Lama Hisum Road. They stretch over toward the pump house for the Mi Wuk Heights Mutual Water District.  Power should be restore to the remaining 24 homes on Olo Win Trail by dark.
