Tuolumne County Power Outages as of 9:30 a.m., Feb 5

Update at 8:40am: Tuolumne County Transit is closed today due to the weather. Also, the Tuolumne County Senior Center is closed.

Update at 8am: PG&E now estimates that 15,500 customers are without power across Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties. There are over 10,300 without power in Tuolumne County and over 5,000 in Calaveras County. The outages are impacting numerous communities, and because they are so widespread, it is unclear when there will be full restoration.

Update at 7:15am: All Stanislaus National Forest offices are closed today. The Tuolumne County Superintendent of Schools Office is closed. Watch Resources is closed, as is Interfaith Social Services.

Update at 7am: Nearly 13,000 PG&E customers across the Mother Lode are now without electricity this morning.

In Tuolumne County, there are over 8,200 customers stretching from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge to Twain Harte, and Soulsbyville to Tuolumne. Additionally, in the Groveland, Pine Mountain Lake and Buck Meadows area there are around 2,000 customers without power in the area of Highway 120.

In Calaveras County, There is a new outage impacting 101 customers on the south side of Highway 4 in the Murphys area. Also, 2,303 customers in the West Point, Glencoe, WIlseyville, Rail Road Flat and Mountain Ranch areas have no lights.

Original story posted at 6am: Sonora, CA — Plenty of PG&E customers in the Mother Lode are waking up to no electricity this morning.

In Tuolumne County, 4,941 in the greater Phoenix Lake, Twain Harte and Soulsbyville areas are in the dark. Additionally, in the Groveland, Pine Mountain Lake and Buck Meadows area there are 1,966 customers without power in the area of Highway 120.

In Calaveras County, 2,303 customers in the West Point, Glencoe, WIlseyville, Rail Road Flat and Mountain Ranch areas have no lights. Because the outages are so widespread, it remains unclear when there will be full restoration. Crews will be very busy throughout the day.

In Mariposa, there are two outages in the Coulterville and Dogtown area impacting 217 customers.

A majority of schools in the Mother Lode are closed today due to the weather, and some of the others are delayed. Click here for the latest. Make sure to refresh the page throughout the morning.

All Tuolumne County government offices, with the exception of public safety, and the Recorder’s Office, are closed today. The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for today has been postponed until one week from today, February 12. Last night’s Sonora City Council meeting was also cancelled. In addition, the ATCAA Food Bank’s Senior Food Distribution at the Senior Center on Greenley Road is cancelled for today.

Some other delays, Tuolumne County Transit is running one hour late, The Watch buses are running two hours late and Kiddie College Childcare Center is closed. The Community Compass is closed.
